Andrew's T1 Timestamp Patch Install Guide
Up
overview
this is a short guide on getting my timestamp patch installed on your
tribes.exe. i realized (with sLaMs help :P) that i don't exactly have any obvious instructions
on how to get it goin, so hopefully this will give some people an edge up on that dang timestamp
steps you need to take
- download the timestamp patch zip to your system
- extract t1_timestamp_patch.exe to your tribes directory [picture]
- open a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd on nt/2k/xp, start -> run -> command on 98) [picture]
- change to your tribes directory and apply the patch [picture]
- if your tribes directory is on a different drive, type "x:", where x is the drive tribes is on
-
once you are on the correct drive (which will be evidence by an "x:\>" prompt), change
to your tribes directory. this is accomplished by typing "cd \Path\To\Tribes\". for example,
i would type "cd \Tribes\". people with default installs would type "cd \Dynamix\Tribes\".
- once you are in your tribes directory, type "t1_timestamp_patch.exe Tribes.exe +". the "+" tells
the patch to install itself. you may also do "t1_timestamp_patch.exe Tribes.exe -" to have the
patch return your Tribes to its default state
